The kawana is supposedly designed as a gym shoe which can also be used for running. So if you're okay with that I'd say try them. If not I'd personally go for something with a lower stackheight. Maybe a boston 9 or something like that or an altra if you can handle zero drop since they'd probably feel a bit more stable on lifts.
